As fellow landowners we know how rewarding it is to own land, but also know it comes with a certain level of hard work and headaches. Properties that sit vacant are subject to theft, trespassing, vandalism and continued neglect can decrease the value of your property. In addition, most properties require yearly mowing, clearing and other general maintenance tasks which all require significant time, equipment and resources. A hunting lease are excellent tools to help you manage your property.

A hunting lease can have many benefits. According to the University of Tennessee/Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) a hunting lease can provide the following benefits:

  • Cover the cost of property taxes and earn additional income. ($5/acre – $30/acre)
  • Improve wildlife habitat and property value through regular maintenance and site improvements
  • Deter theft, vandalism and poaching.
  • Reduce crop damage (Soybean, corn, etc.)
